About

Opportunity:

Students are needed to help organize orders, stock inventory and to welcome guests entering Jeanne's Cupboard.

Organization Description:

Jeanne's Cupboard is the on-campus food security organization at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. The purpose of Jeanne's Cupboard is to supplement the food supply for any UMass Dartmouth students/faculty/staff who may be experiencing food insecurity.

Our mission is to completely eradicate food insecurity in the UMass Dartmouth community for students, faculty and staff by utilizing consistent student effort to equitably distribute the product provided to us by the Greater Boston Food Bank.  Because our food is provided by the Greater Boston Food Bank, we also accept and serve community members and people from the surrounding communities.

College students who experience food insecurity often struggle to support themselves while working, attending classes, and dealing with other life issues. Jeanne’s Cupboard hopes to minimize food insecurity while UMass Dartmouth students work toward completing their education.

Time Commitment:
Two-hour student shifts are available Monday-Friday. See events to sign up!
